7 Best Marketing Agencies for Plumbers
Searching for a marketing agency when you run a plumbing company is a strange experience. Every website says the same thing. More calls, more booked jobs, no contracts. None of them tell you who they are actually built for.
This list is different in one obvious way, so let us get it out of the way first. Cadyen is on it, at number one, and Cadyen wrote it. You should read that with the skepticism it deserves. What we can do is be straight about who each agency actually suits, including the ones we compete with, so you can rule out the wrong fit quickly.
How we put this list together
Four things mattered:
- Do they work with trades? An agency that mostly serves software companies will treat your emergency call volume as an afterthought.
- Is the pricing knowable? Either published, or explained without three discovery calls.
- What do they measure? Calls and booked jobs, or rankings and impressions.
- Who is it genuinely wrong for? A small local shop and a 40-truck operation need very different partners.
No agency here is paying for placement, and there are no affiliate links. We have not linked to any of their sites.
1. Cadyen
Based in: Rancho Cucamonga, California. Works with service businesses nationwide.
Best for: Plumbing companies that want one team handling search, ads, and reviews together, and want to know the price before the call.
Cadyen builds local visibility for home service trades. That means Google Business Profile work, service and city pages that rank, Google and Meta ads, and an automated review system that turns finished jobs into the social proof that wins the next one.
Two things worth naming. Pricing is published on the pricing page rather than held back for a sales call, and everything runs month to month, so there is no twelve month lock-in. You keep what we build if you leave.
Less of a fit if: you want a national brand campaign, or you are looking for the cheapest possible monthly number. See how we handle plumber lead generation, or our results.
2. RYNO Strategic Solutions
Based in: Phoenix, Arizona. Founded in 2007.
Best for: Larger home service operations, especially multi-location companies with real budgets.
RYNO is one of the more established names in home services marketing, working across plumbing, HVAC, roofing, and electrical. They cover SEO, paid search, web design, and social. They were acquired by EverService in 2023, which put them inside a larger group of home services software and service brands.
Worth knowing: the scale that makes them capable for a big operation is the same scale that can make a two-truck shop feel small in the account list. If you are early, ask directly who will be doing your day-to-day work.
3. Hook Agency
Based in: Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Best for: Contractors who want to understand the work, not just buy it.
Hook Agency does SEO, web design, and paid search for home service contractors, covering plumbing, HVAC, and roofing. What sets them apart is how much they publish. Their blog gives away a lot of real detail on pricing and strategy, which is unusual in this industry and genuinely useful whether or not you hire them. They were named to the Inc. 5000 in 2025.
Worth knowing: roofing is where their reputation is deepest. They work with plumbers, but if you want an agency whose flagship trade is yours specifically, weigh that.
4. JD Plumbing Partners
Based in: Encinitas, California. Founded in 2018.
Best for: Plumbers who want an agency that works with almost nothing but plumbers.
This is the most narrowly focused agency on the list. They market to plumbing, HVAC, and electrical contractors, with plumbing front and center in how they describe themselves. Their pitch leans on transparency and no hidden upsells, and the specialization is real: they are not learning your business on your budget.
Worth knowing: deep specialization cuts both ways. If you expand into something outside the trades they focus on, you may outgrow the fit.
5. Prime Media Consulting
Based in: Temecula, California, serving the Temecula, Murrieta, and Menifee area.
Best for: Smaller plumbing companies in Southern California that need a website and a lead flow, from someone local.
Prime Media Consulting combines web design with lead generation, building responsive sites and driving service calls to them. The regional focus is the selling point. For an owner who wants to meet the person doing the work, a local shop is a genuinely different experience from a national agency.
Worth knowing: a tightly regional agency is the right call if you work that area, and the wrong one if you are expanding across the state.
6. Bird Marketing
Based in: London, United Kingdom, with offices in New York and Dubai.
Best for: Plumbing groups that need serious brand and design work alongside performance marketing.
Bird is a full-service digital agency with an international client base rather than a trades specialist. They are strong on design, brand, and web build, and they have the awards to back the creative side.
Worth knowing: this is the least trade-specific agency here. If what you need is to rank in the map pack in your county and get the phone ringing on Saturday, a home services specialist will get there faster. If you are building a regional brand and the visual identity matters, that calculus changes.
7. Silverback Strategies
Based in: Washington DC, with offices in Arlington, Virginia and the Philadelphia area.
Best for: Large plumbing groups and franchises with in-house marketing staff already.
Silverback is a performance marketing agency that works largely with B2B and enterprise clients. They are strong on paid media, analytics, and reporting, which suits an organization that already has someone internally to receive that reporting and act on it.
Worth knowing: this is enterprise-shaped. For an owner-operator who wants someone to just handle it, the level of analytical detail is more than the job needs.
How do you actually choose?
Match the agency to your size and your goal, in that order.
- One to three trucks. You need calls, not strategy decks. A local or trade-specific agency, or honestly the free work done properly first.
- Four to fifteen trucks. This is where a specialist earns their fee. Search, ads, and reviews running together, with someone watching cost per booked job.
- Fifteen plus, or multi-location. Now scale and reporting depth start to matter more than trade specialization.
Whoever you shortlist, ask the same questions of all of them. Who owns the website and ad account if you leave. Whether leads are exclusive to you. What the contract length is. What they report, calls or rankings. We wrote the full checklist in how to choose a lead generation company for contractors.
What should this cost?
Most plumbing companies land between 1,000 and 5,000 a month, with ad spend on top and going to Google rather than the agency. Get clear on which of those two numbers you are being quoted, because a proposal that bundles them looks very different once you separate them.

One thing to check before you hire anyone
Find out whether the leads are yours alone. Some companies sell the same homeowner to several plumbers at once, which turns every call into a price fight before you have said a word. It is the single biggest difference in what a lead is actually worth, and it is covered in shared leads versus exclusive leads.
